I am a lover of the quiet nooks of nature. Such as this. I love rivers rushing quietly, birds chirping cheerily and fresh leaves of the morning dew. I love walking over crunchy twigs and leaves, the forest canopy hovering above me. Meanwhile that I’m in the city, I experience this through your post.
Really captivating photos and writing. So peaceful to read this post although it felt more like a stroll through the forest with how vivid the descriptions were.
That is exactly what I hope to achieve every time I set out to put a post together, so I'm glad that your experience was akin to walking within the forest with me. ♡
Immersing yourself in that environment is akin to forest bathing. Has roots in Japan and has spread to many other countries. Your photos and descriptions are gifts to all of us readers, thank you for sharing. Here's some more info on forest bathing from the UK
Forest bathing has been an important practice in my life for several years now, its supportive benefits know no bounds. And I am so grateful that I one, live in this forest, and two, that I have the opportunity to share it with you. ♡
Thank you - so beautiful, magical and peaceful
🤍🤍

I'm so glad I could provide that experience for you. Thank you so much. 🤍
What a beautiful time of year, full of small surprises, growing larger every day!
Absolutely, one of my favourite times to see how fast things change and grow!
I can almost taste the clear, cold water. (I know, it’s probably not as pure as it looks, but let’s pretend…)
Ah, well it may actually be. As I live in the mountains, our rivers and lakes are all glacier-fed, so the water is quite pure. ;)
Thank you for putting me in this magical place!
Happy you enjoyed it, thank you!
Just beautiful!
Thank you. ♡
I always love your posts Whitney...your photos. Your descriptions. The stillness. The magic. Thank you.
Ah, thank you so much Sam, this makes me so pleased to hear. ♡♡♡
Love this. We’ve been walking in the woods a lot too, and had four warblers singing around us up at Lord Hill Park in Snohomish the other day.
Oh, how beautiful. Birdsong is a truly wonderful sound and offers such a boost for my spirit.
Thank you for sharing these exquisite photos.
Very happy that you enjoyed them. Thank you!
I didn’t want the photos to end! So beautiful… such stillness
