The bubble photos are amazing. I'm glad to learn about your YouTube videos.
I remember one early winter when I was in Junior High School. We had a cottage on Lake James in northern Michigan. That year, the ice froze quickly before there was any snowfall. My mom took a photo of my dad, two brothers and me skating on clear ice. We could go all over the lake and saw fish swimming below us.
Thank you! What a wonderful memory, I love that you did that. While our lakes freeze every winter, it's rare to not immediately get snow on them that quickly hides all the beautiful characteristics of the ice. So this year, it's been lovely to get that experience.
I understand your apprehension. Honestly, it still makes me nervous every time, despite that our lakes freeze every year, and despite that people skate and play hockey and walk all over them, despite knowing it's frozen solid. 😄
Thank you so much, lovely. It's a nerve-wracking thing for me still, even after over 35 years watching the lakes freeze every year and people going all over them. 😂
I've never seen anything like those frozen bubbles before, so interesting!
Beautiful wintry looking photographs. Didn't know you had a youtube channel, I'll check it out ☺️
Always an enchanting journey with you!
Oh, thank you, that's so kind of you to say. 🥰
there's something so humbling when you see a frozen lake. the winter's grasp cannot be avoided.
I agree! It is quite the experience.

I’m always fascinated by strange ice formations: your ice bubbles are great! Thank you for the wintery tour.
Thank you so much. Ice is fascinating, how it forms, the shapes it takes. These bubbles were so interesting to see all over.
How absolutely fascinating! And so beautiful!
I don't think I would dare to do this though - I am quite heavy, lol :-)

Oh, this is beautiful! The bubbles! I'm such a chicken, I'd probably be too scared to walk on it though. 🫠
