Whitney, you are such a talented writer! Capturing the senses in your writing, I come here for my peace and calm for the day when I need it. I also get overstimulated by the noise and hustle and bustle of summer. Thank you for sharing your gift!
As a professional gardener I also find summer unfortunately hectic and far too hot for comfort. Also Its amazing to look at a Lupin that has no Aphids on it all. Its so clean and beautiful!
Oh, I bet you feel that discomfort in summer being a professional gardener. Hoping you find some shady moments of calm from time to time. This lupin was really in prime condition, so lucky I caught it at the right time.
Sure do. I live in England and this year has been thankfully, quite mild so far. Most people think I am lucky to be outside in the summer. So many people work indoors and they romanticise about being out in the elements. I wouldn’t swap it for anything but its certainly challenging!
Thanks for your posts. They are very calming and meditative.
Lovely, Whitney! Thank you. I, too, get very overstimulated by all the noise of summer, especially living so close to a lake. There is so much noise! Totally resonates with me and, thus, when I read your work, my level of calm and peace is enhanced. XO
I love keeping my eyes at my feet to see what little things I might be missing! Also, I saw (online) yellow lupins today for the first time. I didn’t realize they came in yellow at all. Gorgeous pics, as always!!
Absolutely beautiful images and storytelling!

Oh wow! I've never seen yellow ones before, I didn't realize they came in that colour either. How lovely! Thank you so much Natalie.
I love how you've captured these as both shiny and brooding. Pensive delights!
Thank you Martin!
