"On the cusp of an explosion".....these are words that create worlds. What a beautiful display of forest artistry showing how talented she really is, making the tiniest detail spring into life. The buds were simply exquisite. I do have to ask about the skunk cabbage, does it really give off that scent?

It does give off a skunky smell, quite strong early in spring when they are everywhere, but it's also a bit floral. I don't find it off-putting at all, then again, I have lived around it my whole life, so maybe I'm just used to it. 😉

There is nothing so refreshing as the verdant leaves of spring! That intense green just ready to burst forth….!

PS- I loved the yellow blooms of the skunk cabbage! We don’t have that in my part of the country so it was a real treat!

The skunk cabbage is prolific here, but it's such a nice burst of yellow in the spring!
