Hello folks. I’ve been wanting to bring more photography into this lovely community space — I’m not leaving Instagram, but it certainly isn’t lighting me up in the way that it used to. For that reason, I’ve been wanting to find another space to share my captures with those who might appreciate them, so here we are.
I’m hoping to post these photo diaries every couple of weeks, likely on Wednesdays or Thursdays, and they will showcase some of my favourite scenes from my recent walks. It seems like perfect timing to begin this new series today, on my birthday.
So here we go, my first installment of Capturing Moments. I hope my photos bring to you some of the peace I feel every time I’m out in the forest. ♡
I love a moody forest more than anything, and though we haven’t had a very wet spring here this year, I am hoping for a bit more of it come June.
One of the lovely things about having a sunnier and warmer spring is that the flowers are looking healthy and bountiful — and they are so beautiful.
The dogwoods are some I have been waiting for, maybe slightly impatiently. And they have not disappointed.
I am also hoping to get a BC wildflower and plant book to take with me on my walks so that I can identify all the beauties I come across.
The bunchberries have not quite bloomed, but their leaves are looking particularly healthy this year, and I cannot wait until their flowers come.
Thank you for scrolling through a few of my favourites from the last few weeks. While these particular photos aren’t up in my shop quite yet, I’ll be doing an update soon, but you can explore the prints I do have available here.
Wishing you a wonderful day,
♡ Whitney
